Cascadia Medical’s New Programs

A Structured, Supported, Long-Term Medical Model

At Cascadia Medical, we don’t believe weight struggles are a personal failure—or that the solution is more discipline, stricter rules, or trying harder.

We believe weight and metabolic health are driven by many factors: biological, medical, psychological, and deeply influenced by modern life. Our role is to level the biology, build sustainable systems, and support you when life gets messy—because it almost always does.

Our care model is intentionally designed as a step-down pathway, meeting patients where they are, then supporting them throughout treatment, plateaus, and long-term maintenance—because the only predictable thing about this process is that life is unpredictable.

This is medicine built for real humans, not perfect conditions.

Our Philosophy: Systems Over Willpower

Most people seeking medical weight loss care have already tried everything:
  • Diets that worked… until they didn’t
  • Exercise plans that fell apart when life changed
  • Advice that ignored hunger, stress, hormones, or exhaustion

At Cascadia Medical, we take a different approach.

Our care focuses on:

  • Reducing fat mass while preserving muscle
  • Using nutrition as the primary driver of results
  • Using medication strategically—as a tool, not a crutch
  • Replacing willpower with repeatable systems
  • Removing shame and self-blame from the process

If weight loss were just about effort, you wouldn’t be here.

We put an end to frustration, misinformation, and under-supported care—we are grounded in medicine and support, not influencer advice.

We treat the biology and build the structure needed for long-term success.

How Care Works at Cascadia Medical

Our model is intentionally structured as a step-down pathway—with clear phases of care, ongoing support, and a natural transition into long-term maintenance.

Because the only predictable thing about this process is that life will interrupt it.

Step One
New Patient Consult (No Obligation)
Step 2
Program Initiation Visit
Step 3
Continued Care
Step 1

This is where everything starts.

The New Patient Consult is a standalone medical visit designed to give you real answers—not a sales pitch.

During this visit, we:

  • Review your medical history, family history, medications, and symptoms
  • Review outside lab work (strongly encouraged)
  • Discuss whether GLP-1 or other medications are safe and appropriate for you
  • Separate fact from fiction around weight loss medications
  • Create a personalized roadmap for your goals and health

You’ll leave this visit knowing:

  • Whether medication is recommended for you
  • What treatment options exist and which ones make sense for you
  • What initial treatment steps would look like if you choose to move forward

There is no obligation to enroll in a program.
You’ll have up to 3 months to decide whether you’d like to proceed.

Once we have selected the best program for you, you are ready to get started. The Program Initiation Visit takes place approximately 1–2 weeks after the New Patient Consult, depending on when you complete your lab work.

This visit officially launches your formal program and includes:

  • Review of updated labs
  • Integration of this data into your personalized treatment plan
  • Medication education and side-effect mitigation strategies
  • Optional first injection, if you already have your medication on hand
  • Metabolic nutrition counseling (yes—we answer “so what should I eat?”)
  • Supplement recommendations when appropriate
  • Instructions on how to access and use our dietician and lifestyle support platform, powered by Alterra Health
  • Educational handouts to support your first month of treatment

If you are on an installment plan, your first program payment is due at this visit.

Long-Term Support for Real Life

Continued Care is the natural next step after completing either the Core or Comprehensive Program. It is the place to receive ongoing medical care and support, but at a more relaxed pace that reflects the less intense nature of the next phase in your care journey.

This phase is designed to:

  • Investigate plateaus for root causes and redirect treatment as needed
  • Allow life to intervene without panic about the scale
  • Provide a clear plan when progress slows or needs change
  • Adjust medication as needed
  • Walk you through gradual weaning off medication, if desired
  • Protect the progress you’ve worked hard to achieve by strengthening habits and systems that will lead you to long-term success
  • Provide period check-ins for problem-solving, accountability, and support

Continued Care includes:

  • Ongoing clinician and support staff access via patient portal and secure two-way texting
  • Periodic medical visits (typically 30 minutes; longer visits for lab review as needed)
  • Ongoing prescription management in between appointments
  • Prior authorization completion, as needed
  • Lab ordering and interpretation as medically indicated (often 1–2 times per year)
  • Continued access to our lifestyle, nutrition, and exercise app (powered by Alterra Health), including:
    • Ongoing dietitian and lifestyle coaching
    • Monthly updated educational content
    • Live webinars and masterclasses
    • Seasonal and situation-specific resources (travel, stress, holidays, plateaus)

Pricing

  • Standard: $150/month
  • Current patient special rate: $99/month
  • Introductory Continued Care rate: $125/month for patients who start by March 31

Why Ongoing Care Matters

From a biologic standpoint, weight loss triggers a very real response called metabolic adaptation.

After weight loss:

  • Hunger hormones increase = you feel hungrier
  • Satiety hormones decrease = you feel less full
  • Daily energy burn is reduced = weight loss stalls

This response can last 6 months to 2 years—and it’s the primary reason weight regain is so common.

This isn’t a failure on your part.
It’s what the body is designed to do. Unfortunately, this process is a maladaptive safety net that was designed hundreds of thousands of years ago during times of food scarcity. And it now works against your progress in today’s modern and calorie-abundant environment.

The struggle to maintain progress is made worse when support drops off too soon. At Cascadia Medical, we build that support in—so you’re not left navigating this phase alone.

Long-term success doesn’t come from being perfect.
It comes from following a clear process—one that accounts for biology, life, and the need for support over time.

And that’s exactly what we offer.

Moving Forward

When You're Ready

If, during your New Patient Consult, you decide you’d like to move forward with a formal program, we can take the next steps right away so you’re even closer to starting treatment.

This may include:

  • Ordering additional or updated lab work
  • Beginning the process of checking on insurance coverage
  • Completing prior authorization paperwork for GLP-1 medications

This is how we help you get started on your treatment plan quickly and decisively. You’ve likely waited a long time to get thoughtful, medically grounded help—and once you’re ready, we are too.

Choosing the Right Program for You

The Bottom Line

Cascadia Medical is built for real life.

Our model assumes:

  • Plateaus will happen
  • Motivation will fluctuate
  • Biology will fight back
  • Life will interrupt even the best plans

And instead of pretending otherwise, we build support, accountability, and medical expertise into every stage—from first consult to long-term maintenance.

This is not quick-fix care.
This is not shame-based medicine.
This is structured, supportive, medically grounded care designed to last.
